The affected people included both existing customers and prospective customers. 📅 - France May Add Anti-Encryption Amendment to Digital Republic Bill - The French parliament is considering adding an anti-encryption amendment to the Digital Republic bill. The purpose of the amendment is to allow law enforcement access to unencrypted information when authorized by a judge to do so. Eighteen members of France's Republican Party have proposed this amendment, which will be debated this week along with 400 other amendments to the bill.
The amendment's summary statement explained the reason for the amendment's proposal: “The objective is to avoid that individual encryption systems will further delay the investigation.”

📅 - Juniper Networks Addresses Malicious Code in Firewall - Juniper Networks, a security and network equipment company, recently announced they will address the malicious code issue found within their firewall. The code was found last month and may have allowed the United States NSA the ability to monitor customer data. An upgrade to the security software is expected in the first half of 2016.
The company is found in Sunnyvale, California and previously found malicious code in 2012, which allowed hackers to monitor activity of Juniper Netscreen products. They also found another code in 2014 giving hackers full access to their network. .
