People had to get up and change the channel on the actual TV before the remote which usually looked like a dial on the box. Today, people enjoy over 800 different channels with various features liked closed captioning, mute, volume adjustment, and channel adjustment.

Your smart phone looks nothing like the original mobile phones that came out in the 1940's. It's hard to remember the time of the first mobile phones but the original ones looked more like today's “house phone” as a bulky and heavy device. Since then, the device has enhanced to become sleeker, thinner, lighter in weight, and has evolved from a simple telephone to a device that allows you to send messages via text and access the internet.
