NSA Given Permission by Appeals Court to Continue Collecting Metadata
📅 - The National Security Agency or NSA was given the go ahead when it comes to collecting telephone metadata. An Appeals Court decided to overrule the original judge, which had stated it violates the constitution.
A stay was issued on Monday (11/9/2015) after the ruling. This means the NSA had to stop tracking phone calls because it was ruled to be unconstitutional.
However, the ruling was overturned and the NSA can go back to tracking phones. .
