ThinkOn Moves to Expand Addressable Market for Hosted Services via Toronto Data Centres

📅 May 28, 2015 - Cologix, a network neutral interconnection and data centre company, announced today that ThinkOn, a leading hosted services provider, selected Cologix's downtown Toronto data centre at 905 King Street West to expand the company's wholesale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution. The data centre annexes the city's primary carrier hotel at 151 Front Street West through a diverse fibre connection to offer ThinkOn access to communities in Cologix's Meet-Me-Rooms (MMRs) in both buildings. Through this reach, ThinkOn gains access to the fiber-rich connectivity of the carrier hotel with more than 150 unique network providers, as well as a booming ecosystem of potential customers.

“To ensure we reach the broadest market for our services, it was critical to establish a relationship with a key colocation data centre provider for access to an expansive customer ecosystem,” said Craig McLellan, president and CEO of ThinkOn. “Through Cologix, ThinkOn gained wide uptake of our services in a robust environment primed with opportunities. With a focus on colocation, Cologix complements and does not compete with ThinkOn.”

ThinkOn required seamless integration between its enterprise-grade computing environment and data centre provider to deliver flexible, cost-effective and always-on infrastructure to customers. In addition to its IaaS solution, ThinkOn also deployed Backup as a Service (BaaS) and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) offerings with Cologix at 905 King Street West.
