Oct, 2014 : Google Leads $542 Million Funding For Startup Magic Leap
📅 - Magic Leap, developer of “novel human computing interfaces and software,” has raised $542 million in funding from various firms led by Google.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the startup is working on its own eyeglass wearable that will allow users to see computer generated images as a “real-life setting.”

Google head of Android, Chrome, and Apps business, Sundar Pichai, will join Magic Leaps's board while Google head of corporate development Don Harrison will be a board observer.
Other investors in Magic Leap include Qualcomm, Legendary Entertainment Inc., KKR & Co., Vulcan Inc., Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Andreessen Horowitz, and Obvious Ventures.
