Jan 18, 2007 : VitalStream Delivers Sundance Site
📅 - Content delivery network provider VitalStream Holdings (vitalstream.com -> inap.com) announced on Wednesday it is the official video streaming provider for the 2007 Sundance Film Festival Online Web site (festival.sundance.org/2007/).
Using VitalStream's streaming technology, the 2007 Sundance Film Festival official Web site enables motion picture fans worldwide to experience the latest in independent short films, exclusive filmmaker interviews and daily video highlights from the actual event, which takes place annually in Park City, Utah.
The Sundance Film Festival showcases both domestic and international independent film, and is often a launch pad for the careers of both actors and directors. Held each January, the event is a core program of the nonprofit cultural organization Sundance Institute. This year, the festival has selected 71 short films from 19 countries and over 120 dramatic and documentary feature length films to screen during the 10-day affair.
"Our content delivery network has been streaming the festival for years, and being selected again is a testament to the quality and value of our services," says Philip N. Kaplan, president and COO at VitalStream. "Through our ongoing relationship with Sundance, we're able to provide superior, scalable media streaming services of the highest online quality to allow independent filmmakers a chance to showcase themselves and their work."
