Nic Mexico Announces 400,000 .MX Domain Name Registrations

NIC Mexico, administrator of the cctTLD .MX, recently announced that it has reached 400,000 domain name registrations under .MX (including in this number all the current classifications .com.mx, .net.mx, .org.mx, .edu.mx, .gob.mx and .mx). The registry says that this relevant increase on the number of .MX domain name registrations reflects the fact that users, whether they are individuals or enterprises, recognize an added value in being able to have presence on the internet and identify themselves with Mexico, at the same time they promote themselves worldwide; among other benefits.
The registry avers that this was not possible without the joint effort of our 200 Accredited Registrars; which besides of .MX domain registrations offer a broad variety of services and packages to support those companies, associations and individuals who wants to have presence in the network.
"Today, NIC Mexico has reached more than 400,000 domain names registrations under .MX. This undoubtedly support us to continue with our important mission of Placing the name of Mexico on the Internet, by allowing more users to be able to promote their ideas, business, and culture", commented Oscar Robles, NIC Mexico's CEO.
