Fusepoint Appoints Sam Ikomi as VP of Data Center Facilities


📅 - As a VP of Data Center Facilities, Mr. Ikomi will be responsible for the design, maintenance, staffing and reliability of company's data center facilities' infrastructure across Canada.

Fusepoint Managed Services, a national provider of outsourced IT and infrastructure services, today announced the appointment of Sam Ikomi to the position of Vice President, Data Centre Facilities. The company states that in this role Mr. Ikomi is responsible for the design, maintenance, staffing and reliability of its critical data centre facilities' infrastructure across Canada.

It avers that Mr. Ikomi brings over 28 years of experience in international data center engineering expertise, overseeing significant critical assets with prominent Fortune 500 companies. The company further states that most recently he was accountable for Microsoft's 256,000 sq. ft. data center facility in Virginia, where he was responsible for delivering data center operational excellence in support of Microsoft's online businesses. Prior to Microsoft, Mr. Ikomi was employed by Fannie Mae where he was responsible for their facilities in Northern Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland, a total of two million sq. ft. of space, including Data Centres and Market Trading rooms. Prior to Fannie Mae, Mr. Ikomi was employed by IBM as a Program Manager/Advisory Engineer in their Data Centre Engineering and Critical Facilities Support organization for the North Eastern United States.
