Dec, 2009 : Crucial Paradigm Introduces New Xen-based Linux VPS
📅 - The company relaunches its LinuxVPS offerings, including new competitive VPS plans powered by the Xen virtualization platform.
Crucial Paradigm, a provider of Shared, Reseller, Dedicated and Managed Web hosting solutions, today announced that it has re-launched its United States-based Linux Virtual Private Server (VPS) offerings, including several new competitive VPS plans powered by the Xen virtualization platform.
The company states that starting at just $8 per month, its entry-level Xen128 Virtual Private Server plan includes 128MB RAM, 10GB Storage and 150GB of monthly data transfer. It adds that with the re-launch, it has also added a Xen384 plan (starting at $18 per month) and a Xen1536 plan (starting at $69 per month).
The company further states that it uses the Xen hypervisor, an industry standard for virtualization, offering a powerful, efficient, and secure feature set. The platform provides significantly more robust VPS isolation and security than other technologies, such as OpenVZ, for a similar price. All servers also feature Intel Xeon E5520 processors, DDR3 RAM and RAID 10 disk configurations.
"Virtual Private Servers continue to drive our company's rapid growth, and we see it as a strategic imperative to constantly broaden our array of services and keep plan configurations competitive in the marketplace. In the last year alone, we have deployed nearly 1 Terabyte of RAM capacity in our VPS nodes, and with the release of these new plans, we expect to double our growth by the second half of next year," said Ijan Kruizinga, sales and marketing Director of Crucial Paradigm.
