Oct, 2009 : Netissime Deploys R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection

📅 - Company to offer Windows and Linux backups as an add-on service to its client by deploying R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection solution.

Netissime, a hosting provider, recently announced that it has implemented R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology to offer Windows and Linux backups as an add-on service to its clients. The company claims that R1Soft's CDP backup system has highly-functional features including online multilevel administration which allows its customers the ability to directly log in and autonomously manage their own backups through an web interface.

It states that in the event of a crash, R1Soft's Bare-Metal Restore capability allows users to quickly restore servers to any restore point they choose, states the company. The company adds that it also utilizes CDP MySQL Add-ons to easily manage and perform real-time restores of MySQL databases. It avers that R1Soft's True-Granular Restore technology enables users with the flexibility to select and restore any combination of tables and/or databases to alternate locations.

"We selected R1Soft's backup solution because it brings more autonomy, visibility, and stability to our customers than any of the other solutions we've tried. It's important to us that our customers be satisfied and self-sufficient in their online backup management," said Hichem Boulahbel, Technical Director at Netissime.

"With the R1Soft Web interface, Netissime's customers will be able to log in to easily schedule, manage, and monitor their own backups without having to contact Netissime every time. It's a win-win situation and streamlines the entire process of handling backups," said David Wartell, Vice President of R1Soft, a division of BBS Technologies, Inc.
