GlobalSign, a SSL Certificate security specialist, today announced a partnership with Inter.net, a internet services provider, to incorporate its full range of security products into Inter.net's existing solution portfolio.

The company explains that Inter.net has built a wide customer base, including a growing number of customers located in Brazil and Panama. Inter.net decided to seek a well established, leading international Certification Authority partner who could offer a comprehensive range of value-add security products to complement their existing product umbrella of managed hosting, software development and media agency services. It claims that its product range of digital certificates, including SSL certificates, code signing certificates, personal digital ID's and document signing services will provide a synergetic offering to Inter.net's existing and new customers.

The company adds that Brazil and Panama are the first regions where Inter.net will The SSL market in Brazil is the largest in South America, showing an annual growth rate of 14%. It also says that it expect the strategic partnership to achieve a 15% SSL market share in these countries by 2010.

"The Brazil and Panama markets have very high strategic importance to the growth of GlobalSign in South America, and our newly formed partnership with Inter.net will help us expand into these countries quickly, gaining a good foundation in one the largest and fastest growing SSL Certificate markets worldwide", said Johan Sys, CEO, GlobalSign Inc.
