📅 March 24, 2009 - Managed hosting provider Attenda Limited (attenda.net) announced on Tuesday it has been awarded the 2009 VMware EMEA Hosting Partner of the Year Award for the second consecutive year.

The award recognizes Attenda for its delivery of high availability virtualised infrastructure hosting and managed services.

The award was presented at the Partner Awards ceremony at last month's virtualization event, VMworld Europe 2009, held at the Les Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

The company first won the award last year at the VMworld Europe 2008 conference.

Attenda deployed the VMware platform for its Real Time Infrastructure, helping the company to achieve faster provisioning, higher availability and lower cost than with from traditional hardware hosting.

Last August, Attenda launched its Real Time Infrastructure after a year of development and running its live internal applications for over six months to create a scaleable, "always on" solution for internet and enterprise applications.

The demand for virtualization technology and solutions continued to increase throughout 2008.

"We expect this trend to continue in 2009, as enterprises look for scalable and reliable ways to extend the applications that run their datacenters on-premise to an off-premise cloud.," says Mark Fowle, CEO of Attenda.
