📅 - Content delivery network provider BitGravity (bitgravity.com -> tatacommunications.com -> bigrock.in) announced on Monday it has named Perry Clarke as the company's first VP of engineering.
Clarke will lead the team that designs, develops, and optimizes the core BitGravity platform and products.
With over 25 years of engineering and management experience, Clarke joined BitGravity in 2007 as one of the company's first employees.
Before joining BitGravity, Clarke founded Konfabulator, a desktop widgets application, until he eventually sold the company to Yahoo!.
Clarke has also managed software engineering teams at Sun Microsystems, SmartCalendar and Unify.
Early in his career, Perry programmed and managed teams at Motorola and Oracle in the UK.
"Perry Clarke is a seasoned engineering manager who builds great teams and great products," says Perry Wu, co-founder and CEO of BitGravity. BitGravity has built the first content delivery network optimized to deliver affordable video delivery, software applications, web assets, interactive applications, and live streaming in standard and high-definition.
Last week, the company launched "BG Live HD," the first standards-based, true high-definition, online solution for broadcasting live events in 1080p or 720p resolution.
