Oct 9, 2008 : Infospace Picks CRG West Facility

📅 - Data center developer, manager and operator CRG West has announced the addition of InfoSpace (infospace.com) to its growing customer base in Northern Virginia. InfoSpace has licensed nearly 1,000 square feet of data center space for its Web search sites including superpages.com and dogpile.com.

Announced late last week, CRG West will operate and service the InfoSpace data center electrical and HVAC infrastructure equipment and provide cabinet space and remote hands support at its Reston Exchange facility in Reston, North Virginia, located outside Washington DC.

Best known for Dogpile.com that combines the top results from the leading search engines, InfoSpace develops meta-search products that are currently hosted in its Seattle data center.

"We are excited about the opportunity to serve a company such as Infospace," CRG West senior vice president David W. Dunn said in a statement. "Our data center design in Reston is expected to be very reliable and efficient, with cold row and hot air containment through a combination of a raised floor and a drop ceiling with a return air plenum. The combination of a very efficient data center, our metered power offering and a robust connectivity offering make CRG West one of the premier data center providers in the Washington, DC area. The power and space available at our Reston data center are ideal for enterprises looking to significantly grow their IT operations in the next 12-24 months."

Earlier in October, CRG West announced it would be expanding its downtown Los Angeles operations, adding 55 mega watts of power and 400,000 square feet of space.
