Aug 13, 2008 : iNetU Opens Fifth Data Center

📅 August 13, 2008 - Web hosting provider INetU Managed Hosting (inetu.net -> viawest.com -> flexential.com), which, on several occasions, has been listed as the most reliable hosting site by web analytics firm Netcraft, announced on Wednesday that it has completed the construction of its fifth data center.

The company says it decided to expand its footprint with this facility to meet the growing demand for managed services.

INetU says it has put enterprise-grade security measures in place in its data center, including dual-factor data center access control using bio-metric and electronic measures, around-the-clock CCTV cameras that are located in each entry point, and roof and generator access.

"We help companies grow successfully online," says Dev Chanchani, president of INetU. "In-house consultation such as load testing with a performance analysis and systems architecture consulting equip our clients with the tools necessary to expand strategically. And as they grow, INetU grows."

INetU says all of its data centers are in Allentown, Pennsylvania with disaster recovery options located in the Midwest. The company says it supports many web applications and provides ?high availability hosting? for enterprise websites in the online retail, healthcare, financial services, SaaS, web development, education, government, consulting and non-profit sectors.

On Friday, two UK-based hosting providers made data center launch announcements. Iomart opened a facility in Nottingham, while Network I opened its second data center in Slough, Berkshire, just outside of the London ring motorway.

And last Wednesday, colocation provider Colo 5 reported it will be opening a new disaster recovery center in Jacksonville, Florida in September.
