📅 July 28, 2008 - Web hosting provider PEER 1 Network Enterprises (peer1.com ) announced on Monday that it is providing scalable, high-performance IT infrastructure and colocation services for Squarespace's (squarespace.com ), which released Version 5.0 of its online publishing software today.
PEER 1 hosts the Squarespace data center presence in New York City, providing solid connectivity and power resources. While being a PEER 1 customer, Squarespace's business has grown by 300 percent annually for the last three years, in addition to signing tens of thousands of subscribing customers.

Squarespace's Version 5.0 will feature a new approach to building websites, blogs and portfolios, providing all the tools needed to design, structure and add content onto one page to increase the speed and efficiency of the creation process.

Squarespace says it serves more than 85 million page views per month. Its Plans range from $7 to $65 per month and are available for individuals or businesses. "We value customers such as Squarespace for their expertise and market innovation," says Robert Miggins, VP of business development for PEER 1. "We continue to see broad expansion in the web services area, since more people are learning to create and maintain an individual or business presence online. Not only do these websites need front-end developer tools and resources, but they rely on solid hosting services to sustain growth and continue providing for visitor and customer needs." PEER 1 offers a range of web hosting services, including self-managed, managed and colocation. These services are supported by PEER 1's world class, geographically diverse network, which includes 17 data centers and POPs in major cities across North America and Europe.

Last month, PEER 1 upgraded its network to 10GB/OC192 architecture, which it says will reinforce its platform for supporting online business, and will help support new technology development.
