USA Video Interactive Selects Exodus to Host Streaming Media Suite
📅 - Internet media streaming company USA Video Interactive today announced it had selected Web hosting company Exodus Communications to host the infrastructure for USVO's StreamHQ, a suite of streaming media services.
"The breadth and scope of Exodus' network and Internet Data Centers (IDCs) both in the U.S. and globally will enable our architecture to rapidly scale with client demand and our services to grow and expand into other world regions,'' said Edwin Molina, President and CEO of USVO.
USVO's video technology delivers streaming media features like full-motion video and flexible, VCR-like controls to users through a standard Web browser. It delivers images "significantly faster and at a higher degree of resolution than with previously available methods," according to the company, and can bypass the restrictions of typical bandwidth capacity. The company says the new StreamHQ system will require some serious high-end hosting, as it makes use of an extensive collection of database, web, application, and media streaming servers, as well as proprietary software developed by USVO in-house.
"It was both a business and technology decision to choose Exodus as the link between StreamHQ(TM) and the Internet," Molina said.
Exodus, which specializes in managed Web hosting, provides complex hosting services for more than 4,500 companies worldwide using the world's largest global network of Internet Data Centers (IDCs).
