Jul, 2001 : WaveOne.com to Host Linnhoff March Utility Software

📅 July 13, 2001 - Linnhoff March Limited (linnhoffmarch.com), a software and services provider for optimized integration of process/utility systems, and WaveOne.Com Inc., a leading online engineering software provider and hosting service, yesterday announced a hosting agreement to deliver Linnhoff March's system optimization software over the Internet.

Under the agreement, three new products will be available for online use from the waveone.com site. This includes ProSteam for steam system design, simulation, operation and optimization, WaterTracker for rapid water and contaminant balancing, and WaterPinch for minimizing fresh water and effluent costs in process plants.
Users will be able to directly purchase Linnhoff March's products on an automated and secure time-used basis, through the WaveOne.com Web site. The water system optimization products are expected to be in August 2001, with ProSteam following in September 2001.
"For some time, we have been seeking a flexible Internet solution that matched our goals to provide our clients an environment that was both neutral and offered technologies complementary to our own," said Jurg Zollinger, software sales manager, Linnhoff March Ltd. "The WaveOne.com site matched our vision perfectly. The team-based tools and rapidly developing collaborative engineering capabilities were a bonus we did not anticipate.''
The WaveOne.com site was formally launched in July 2000 and now incorporates online access to a variety of process engineering software applications chemical process simulations, thermophysical property prediction, and other applications to facilitate sharing of documents in a secure team-based environment as well as other tools and calculators.
WaveOne.com is also a member of an open industry wide initiative to establish an XML standard for exchanging process industry information known as plantDATA XML with six other companies.
