📅 July 25, 2001 - Clearway Technologies (clearway.com), a subsidiary of Mirror Image Internet (mirror-image.com) and Xcelera Inc. (xcelera.com), today announced a partnership with Innerhost (innerhost.com), a global provider of complex managed hosting and application services. Under the terms of the agreement, Innerhost will offer the company's FireSite Service as part of its suite of Microsoft-based solutions for building, deploying and managing scalable and integrated Web-based applications.

The FireSite service offers Innerhost customers a turnkey means to ensureWeb site performance, regardless of the number of visitors or the type ofcontent being requested and without adding hardware or requiring manual HTMLrewrites. The FireSite service increases Web site speed and scalability byserving graphics, multimedia files and other rich content directly tobrowsers from a network of high-performance content servers.
"The combination of Mirror Image and Clearway brings expanded contentdelivery and Web services to our strategic partners such as Innerhost," saidCos Santullo, president and CEO of Mirror Image.
Innerhost says its FireSite intelligent software agents can be installed anddeployed on a customer's Web server in as little as ten minutes. Onceinstalled, the FireSite agent automatically selects the content that canbenefit from acceleration and immediately pushes it to a distributed networkof high-performance content servers. The service then observes traffic inreal time, and automatically rewrites tags on HTML, Javascript and otherdynamic content to direct each browser to the best possible content server. Using the FireSite service to distribute content, Innerhost customers areensured transparent operation, intelligent network management and dedicatedspace on content servers, eliminating cache faults that slow page downloads.
