(q9.com -> equinix.com), a leading Canadian provider ofmanaged Internet infrastructure services, today announced that it hassecured a contract to provide CanDeal (candeal.ca), recently formed by thesix leading Canadian banks and Basis100 (basis100.com), with a suite ofmanaged hosting services. The contract's initial annual value isapproximately $1.7 million CDN.

CanDeal services streamline and automate bond and money market trading inCanada by providing institutions with a real-time consolidated price feedthat displays the best bid and offer, price and yield, from allparticipating dealers for each security. Clients will be able tosimultaneously request trades with multiple dealers. The service, powered byBasis100's proprietary BasisXchange technology, provides significantbenefits in terms of cost savings, timely trade execution and reducedadministration.
CanDeal's founding shareholders are BMO Nesbitt Burns, Basis100 Inc., CIBCWorld Markets Inc., MoneyLine Network Inc., National Bank Financial Inc.,RBC Dominion Securities Inc., Scotia Capital Inc. and TD Securities Inc.
