Ford Chooses Optiglobe to Host Brazilian IT Infrastructure

📅 October 23, 2001 - OptiGlobe (optiglobe.com), a Latin American provider of IT outsourcing and data center services, announced yesterday that Ford (ford.com.br) has selected OptiGlobe to host and manage the infrastructure used to deliver several mission-critical applications in Brazil. These applications include Ford's corporate Web site, as well as other consumer, supplier and dealer-facing IT systems.

Ford has annual sales of 135,000 vehicles in Brazil, making it one of thecountry's largest companies. The applications it is hosting at OptiGlobe area part of the company's effort to streamline operations, cut costs andimprove customer service. OptiGlobe is providing Ford with a comprehensivesolution that consists of a variety of infrastructure, managed, professionaland support services. These services include a dedicated hosting solution;managed database, backup, monitoring and reporting services; and on-siteprofessional and support services.
