Nov, 2001 : Host Europe Wins 2nd Place in Fast 50 Awards

📅 November 23, 2001 - Host Europe (hosteurope.com) announced today that it has been recognized as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK, receiving an award for 2nd place in the Deloitte & Touche TechnologyFast 50 (fast50.co.uk), having achieved turnover growth over a three year period (1998-2000) of 2,105%.

The Technology Fast 50 programme seeks out those companies that have shownimpressive growth rates in the telecommunications, hardware, software andbiotechnology markets over the last three financial years. The lowest growthrate achieved was 58%. The London and South East Fast 50 TechnologyCompanies Awards is hosted by Deloitte & Touche, and co-sponsored bytechMARK, the London Stock Exchange market for innovative technologycompanies, Investec Henderson Crosthwaite and Travers Smith Braithwaite.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Hilton London MetropoleHotel on Nov. 20. Abby Hardoon, CEO, said: "Achieving growth of 2,105% overthree years does not come easily. Since this period, 2001 has seen us reachEBITDA profitability and cash flow breakeven, while continuing to push aheadwith our aggressive organic growth plans as well as evaluate potentialacquisition targets with a view to strengthening our position as a leadingEuropean hosting company."
Host Europe has continued to achieve strong growth during 2001, andannounced in Sept. that it had already achieved positive EBITDA for thefirst six months of the year to June. Strong growth has continued withseveral new milestones having been recently achieved. Host Europe hasreached over 250,000 domains under management compared to 190,000 at the endof June, 40,000 customers compared to 31,000, and the number of dedicatedand co- located servers hosted has reached over 3,000 compared to 2,300.
