Sierra Wireless Receives FCC, Industry Canada Approvals for AirCard
📅 - Sierra Wireless (sierrawireless.com) announced yesterday that the Federal Communications Commission and Industry Canada have issued regulatory approvals for the Sierra Wireless AirCard 710 Wireless Network Card. It will be the first Global System for Mobile communications/general Packet Radio Service (GSM/GPRS) product added to the Sierra Wireless AirCard product line.
The Sierra Wireless AirCard 710 is a single band GPRS PC Card for access toNorth American GSM and GPRS networks. Roaming at speeds up to 56 kbps,mobile users can use the Sierra Wireless AirCard 710 for wireless access toenterprise networks, e-mail, and to the Internet. Without the need for alandline or cellular phone connection, mobile users using the SierraWireless AirCard 710 can use their mobile devices as if they were in theiroffice, staying connected anywhere, anytime within cellular coverage.
