Apr, 2002 : ManagedOps Acquires Vobix Corporation Customers
📅 - Application outsourcing service provider ManagedOps Inc. (managedops.com) announced on Monday that it has acquired the customer contacts of Vobix Corporation, a Kentucky-based subsidiary of ManTech International Corporation.
ManagedOps says it will provide hosting services for the Vobix customers, who will be migrated to the Managed Operations platform by mid-May. The terms of the transaction were not released.
"We look forward to providing our award-winning Managed Operations service to Vobix customers," says Mark Sawyer, president of ManagedOps. "Our 14 years of experience implementing, managing and supporting business applications means these customers will be on-line with us in a matter of days."
ManagedOps's acquisition of the Vobix customer contracts, says the company, follows a decision by ManTech to focus on its core business of supporting Federal Government customers, especially within the Department of Defense and the intelligence community.
According to ManagedOps, Vobix evaluated a number of application outsourcers and reseller partners within the Microsoft Great Plains channel before settling on assigning its customers to ManagedOps.
The Managed Operations service includes the management of software components, infrastructure, security, staffing and support needed to keep applications tuned and running smoothly. ManagedOps says it delivers applications for a cost-efficient and predictable monthly fee.
