📅 - Managed hosting services provider SAVVIS Communications Corp. (savvis.com) announced on Wednesday that it has launched its Fast Pack Intelligent Hosting Solutions, expanding its managed hosting offering for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Guaranteeing a delivery of only five days, SAVVIS says its Fast Pack service delivers high-end, fully managed server platforms that meet the budget requirements of the SME market. SAVVIS calls hosting one of the highest growth areas in telecommunications.
But the sophisticated managed solutions designed for large-scale enterprises, says SAVVIS, are often out of the budget ranges of SMEs, who have traditionally relied on shared server solutions to deliver their Web applications.
SAVVIS says its Fast Pack product line enables growing small and mid-sized companies to move from a shared service to a scalable dedicated server environment, at prices that deliver an attractive return on investment.
"People have talked about providing simplified hosting for small and medium-sized enterprises for some time now, but generally this has meant a reduction in quality, security and service," says Brad Hokamp, executive vice president of product management and sales for SAVVIS. "As a company grows, its application challenges grow also. We developed Fast Pack to provide SMEs with the same high-end, redundant, scalable infrastructure that the big players get, but at a price point that they can afford."
SAVVIS says its Intelligent Hosting Service combines the company's high-rated network with top-of-the-line data centers to deliver a comprehensive end-to-end managed hosting solution that meets the data transmission demands of financial services and mid-sized companies.
Among the features of the Fast Pack service, SAVVIS delivers up to 1Mbps sustained bandwidth, new Compaq Proliant servers, advanced firewalling standards and rapid provision.
