"The NOCSTER family of managed services will allow BurstNET to take the industry lead in low-priced, high-bandwidth services," says S. Matthew Arcus, CEO of BurstNET. "Competitors have been releasing sub-$100 dedicated servers based on very inexpensive backbone providers, and providing little-to-no support with such. NOCSTER will take such offerings to the next level, including full system administration and tech support, delivered over industry leading backbones, including Qwest."
BurstNET says that while new low-end service portfolios offered by its competition are a step in the right direction, those plans fail in providing support for the offerings. Including management and support with the product line, says BurstNET, the company has created a unique managed hosting solution.
The core of BurstNET's managed services is powered by Web hosting software automation suite WebHostManager and hosting automation package Cpanel. BurstNET is the largest Authorized Data Center & Distributor for Cpanel Software.
DarkOrb Communications, developer of Cpanel and says it has seen installations of the software grow in the last six months, and expects numbers to continue growing following the product's selection as the management solution for the NOCSTER line.
The NOCSTER service plans include a dedicated Web server with 1Ghz processor, 60GB hard drive and 512MB RAM, with a 300GB monthly bandwidth allotment for $299.95 setup and $99.95 per month. Similar prices are available for different hardware configurations, including SCSI storage solutions.
The NOCSTER service includes a reseller plan, starting at $29.95 per month and allows any number of domains and Web sites to use the space and bandwidth.
