Jan, 2003 : Network Solutions Debuts Site Building Tools
📅 - Domain name, email and Web site solution provider, and VeriSign subsidiary, Network Solutions Inc. (NetworkSolutions.com👉 Total Reviews: 35 🙌 Average Rating: 1.6 / 10 👍 Good Reviews: 3 👎 Bad Reviews: 32 👈 Official Responses: 0) announced on Monday that it has released a suite of new online Web site building tools designed to give small and medium-sized businesses the tools to build and manage customized, professional Web sites.
The company says it introduced the new services in response to research indicating that many small businesses feel they don't have the time, resources or expertise to build a professional site. Only 36 percent of small businesses polled in Dunn & Bradstreet in April 2002 had a Web site. And in research conducted October 2002 by SnapNames.com Inc., more than 69 percent of domain registrations did not resolve to a live Web site. Network Solutions' own research showed that while 88 percent of those polled think most businesses should have a Web site, 85 percent don't know how to build a professional Web site. "Every business, large and small, should have a Web site, whether it's a single company contact page or a full-blown e-commerce site," said John Donoghue, Executive Vice President, Network Solutions. "We introduced these Web site services specifically for those companies who have thought that a professional looking Web site is out of their reach. Now, with Network Solutions Web sites, there is an easy and affordable Web site building tool that enables all businesses to establish and maintain a powerful presence on the Internet." The services, says Network Solutions, are designed to allow a company to deploy a Web site without significant investment. The starter package, including one email box, is available for $30 per year. And a multi-page Web site package, including five Web pages and two email boxes is available for $9 per month or $90 per year.
