📅 - Dallas-based interconnection and colocation firm LayerOne (layerone.com) said today it had named Brandon Freeman, who has served as COO since co-founding LayerOne in 1999, president and CEO of the company.
Freeman replaces Alexander Muse, who co-founded the firm. Muse moved to Architel, a provider of IT services for small and medium size businesses, earlier this month. According to LayerOne, Freeman has been responsible for the day-to-day management of LayerOne since its inception, including the oversight of the company's engineering, service deployment and sales and marketing. Freeman is a former corporate and securities attorney, and has played a "pivotal role" in securing service contracts with over 100 firms in less than four years. LayerOne is a privately held firm that provides infrastructure solutions to service providers, enterprises and Internet-based businesses. The company offers network access and other services throughout the United States and Asia.
