Jul, 2003 : TeleCity Extends Colo Agreement with Zen Internet
📅 - TeleCity (telecity.com) announced today that it has extended its relationship with Internet service provider Zen Internet (zen.co.uk) to house a greater proportion of its critical server infrastructure within TeleCity's Manchester data center facilities.
Zen Internet previously occupied two racks of space within TeleCity's facilities. Under the new terms, Zen Internet has contracted for a dedicated suite. "As our business grew in size we knew we would have to hand over our IT infrastructure to a third party, and were looking for a reliable and trustworthy data centre provider," said Richard Tang, managing director of Zen Internet. "We chose to extend our relationship with TeleCity because of the excellent levels of engineering support we had already received, and because we believed in the strength of their business model." In February of this year, TeleCity was awarded 'Colocation Provider of the year' by the ISPA on the strength of its facilities and customer service. "ISPs have always been an important part of TeleCity's customer base," said Rick Hudson, TeleCity's CEO. "Across our network of data centers we service ISPs who focus on a wide array of different business sectors and industries - from the small, local provider to the multinational business to business ISP. TeleCity continues to attract business from leading service providers such as Zen, who are looking for a data center partner to help support and grow their business." Zen Internet is a UK-based Internet service provider. TeleCity is a pan-European provider of colocation and data center services.
