I've had a several, very small (low traffic) business and personal websites for well over 20 years now. To host these sites I've used space provided by various ISPs (a long time ago), Just Host, HostPapa (an absolutely terrible service in 2018/19), a couple more that no longer exist, and for the last 1.5 years, Webnames (I've used Webnames--formerly attached to UBC--since the 1990's, as my domain registrar). I can't recommend them highly enough for small businesses like mine. The technical support is class leading (although their hours aren't the best...not 24/7) and they don't mess about with a lot of up-selling.
I saw one commenter posted criticism alleging that Webnames sells your personal info. That's BS. Having your domain ownership details hidden is your responsibility although you can pay them to have it protected.
I highly recommend Webnames and have no interest in going elsewhere for hosting (Yes, my comment may appear to have been written by Webnames but it isn't. I was looking for a good Canadian web hosting service as I didn't want to be saddled with following US rules. I'm in Canada.)
