I recommend that you do not use VPSLand because you get what you pay for.

I've been a VPSLand customer since 2006 and am now keen to use anyone but them.

I used my vps for hosting my email, so critical uptime wasn't a concern and I noted only a handful of outages over the years.

After a while I ran out of space and looked for an upgrade, they wanted me to cancel my account and create a fresh one with a new IP and go through the hassle of redirecting everything. I opted to just clean up and keep my existing account rather than add that hassle.

Finally, a couple months ago my vps went down. I couldn't access the server or the control panel. I tried getting support help and was given the runaround constantly. THey wanted me to confirm my support account for some unknown reason.

They kept telling me that the vps was corrupted and that I'd need to do a restore of a backup or have it reinstalled. The problem was, every time I suggested that I can't connect to the control panel to restore my backup they'd avoid the suggestion. Finally I got a msg that they'd gone ahead with the reinstall without my permission and told me I should have kept backups via the console.

I'm severely displeased with the service I received from them lately from both a technical and customer service level and will be looking to use anyone but them in the future.
