First off, let me say that the web service offered is very good for an entry-level user.
Vodahost offers many more services than a novice user will likely ever even want, and there's a lot of good feedback out there. You can't trust VodaHost's forums though, they are moderated, meaning that they will not allow anything but positive feedback to be published there.
I can't reccommend this service, unless you find the following acceptable:
1) Have your service cut off 4 days before the billing cycle ends
2) Receive threats to delete your content after they have denied you FTP access to recover it, once again before the service period has ended.
3) Service not being started up again until 7 days later, after payment is received and the staff are prompted, and not so much as an apology afterwards.
4) implied 2% yearly downtime due to staff denial of service.
Service started on May 9th, 2008, you can verify this by checking the domain registration for LinuxGeex.com.
2009/03/23 I received 2 invoices:

Greetings William,
We would like to notify you that your invoice for services you purchased from VodaHost is now 1 DAYS OVERDUE and your account may be SUSPENDED at any time. Please pay your invoice as soon as possible.
Once we have received payment your account will be unsuspended. If no payment has been received within 10 days of your due date then the account will be completely terminated and removed from our servers.
===================================================================
They sent 2 more notices on the 5th, and terminated the service with the 3rd notice, 96 hours before the 365 day billing cycle had even gone by.
At that point, with 4 days of service paid for and not rendered by them, they pulled my FTP access so I could not even download my content. All I can say is do not trust any ISP, keep backups, that's your responsibility. VodaHost will not give you any leeway, in fact they may well take you by surprise and cut you short as they did me.
I had already received notice that my payment was being processed by PayPal, so I decided to see how long it would take for them to start the service again without my pushing them.
On May 8th the payment was processed, and on the 9th it was deposited into VodaHost's account, according to PayPal.
On the 11th, 48 hours later, I contacted Vodahost by replying to their disconnection notice and told them of their errors. This created an automated support ticket, but apparently HotMail didn't send the body of the message.
On the 12th, they did get the service back up, but no apologies or compensation, in fact they don't even acknowledge the hardship they incurred.
Here's the contents of the support ticket: (note that the last 3 correspondences all resulted in the staff marking the ticket "Closed."

Thanks for your thoughtful one-word reply.
Anything more to say, or shall I publish this as-is?

Okay, now the denial of service is past, but I have no assurance that the carelessness of the company isn't going to bite me again.
The reason I have to think that way is because no apology was made, and no attempt to set things right for the service outage was made.
Just "regards".
Please escalate this to a service manager.

I haven't made a "reply" yet.
I replied to an EMAIL which you sent, using hotmail. You shouldn't have any difficulty reading that mail. But in short:
1) your billing cycle is incorrect and the start date needs to be adjusted by 8 days because you did not start providing me service until the 9th of May 2008.
2) you cut off my service incorrectly. Fix it. Now.
3) while you are fixing your billing date, you might have the decency to credit me for the days you have incorrectly cut off my service.
4) the date of payment was set by your company. Paypal continues to make the payment based on your schedule. It's a subscription. have no doubt that the billing errors are entirely your own fault.
5) you received payment before you cut off my service. I have proof. You have proof. You have no excuse. FIX IT.
