VodaHost was not a particularly easy hosting service to navigate through setup. They do provide several videos and online information but in the end the user interface is not very intuitive. If you manage to get through setup and never need to speak with customer service, then their service may prove sufficient for you (as it did for me for 2 years).
There was one exception, when we did need a response to a billing issue and absolutely received a form reply that did not address the question what-so-ever. So we had to reply again and request that a person actually READ the email and reply with an appropriate response. This is unacceptable customer service.
However, today my website is down and will not load. I am unable to speak to anyone in customer service and have been trading emails with someone who is completely not helpful.
Here is a bit of the email exchange, as an example...
Email from customer, me: a) I explain there is an issue with my site and b) I would like to know what is the procedure if I would like to change my hosting company.
Email from VodaHost customer service: Hello, The site is loading fine. Please get back to us if you have any questions. Always at your service.
Very polite, (probably a form letter) but the site IS NOT loading fine and it is a waste of time as they did not response to all my questions. So now I must reply to this email and wait again for another response.
So conclusion...
Customer service: completely inadequate and borderline insulting.
Price: Not good at $7.95/mo, considering there are numerous options with better customer support for practically half the price.
Terms & Policy: No refunds. Period. So basically once they get your money and deliver you absolutely awful customer service, you have no options.
Summary: I DO NOT recommend this service to anyone. There are far better options available and I see no reason to accept 'locked-in' terms when the competition provides better options.
