Yahoo! webhosting service is VERY BAD. Their Customer Service will answer about 1 in 5 emails. And when they do, it's just a link to their knowledge base that has little to do with your exact problem or a blow-off like we don't see any errors here, move along.
I tried loading some PHP code and got a version error (requires v5). Tested and the code on Yahoo! is version 4. I asked if they had an upgrade scheduled and when that might be - no reply.
Added MySQL service and get this error "Your PHP MySQL library version 3.23.49 differs from your MySQL server version 4.1.14. This may cause unpredictable behavior." Called tech support and they said it would need to be escalated. Never got a call back or email.
Have issues with sites taking a long time to load with these appearing at the bottom "Waiting for visit.webhosting.yahoo.com" and "Read.us.js2.yimg.com". Again, sent in the problem, no response.
Mobile logon to your website's email doesn't work, it will only log onto your main Yahoo! email account. Same blow off reply from Yahoo!
Some Add-Ons act unpredictably. Like if you add WordPress and then Deactivate and then reactivate in the same directory later, it will be a soupy mess. You will need to activate future instance in a separate directory (yet they warn against this).
SSL is a mess. Another letter to Yahoo! asking about an error received when linking out of an SSL directory back to a non-SSL directory - no reply.
Problems after problems. Maybe it has alot to do with their buyout. But whatever it is, there is a lot of incompetence over there and is the main reason they are losing big time to Google! and their stock has been in the toilet (long before the current financial crisis)
BTW - I REALLY hope Google comes out with a webhosting solution. I'll be the first to sign up.
