I have used Yahoo web hosting for many years. I found repeated difficulties in uploading using their file manager and was forced to use an ftp program at additional costs. The site statistics are confusing and lack sufficient detail. The renewal fee for the web hosting was more than twice that of other competitors, despite the fact that I had been with Yahoo for more than five years.

I placed an order to move the domain/hosting to Ipage. I then canceled my Yahoo Business Account. For more than a month I have been trying to work with Ipage, Yahoo and the domain registrar, Melbourne IT, as Yahoo is merely a reseller of domains, to no avail. each time I page and Melbourne contact Yahoo on my behalf I get an auto-generated form from Yahoo on how to reopen my account. By this method, I can only move the domain if I am willing to purchase another year's web hosting. As I no longer am a Yahoo Business client email and phone support is not available.

I am not willing to spend additional and unnecessary monies with Yahoo, no less given their track record of poor customer support and reliance on auto-generated forms.

I plan to file complaints with the US and California Attorney General's.

I would strongly advice avoiding Yahoo.
