I'm a graphic designer and have roughly 20 of my clients' web sites, and my own site, hosted with Hostway. I am currently shopping around for a new hosting service, however, since Hostway no longer has the appeal it once did. Their prices have been increasing over the past year or so. They no longer offer the $8.95/mo personal plan, and their Gold plan is now $15.95/mo (up from $13.95). Their $39.95 setup fee is too high. Their customer service used to be wonderful, but no longer. This past year, the CSRs I've spoken with for the most part are not knowledgeable and don't really seem to care about resolving my issues (even when they do speak English well enough to communicate with, which isn't always the case any more). They've done some strange things with some of my accounts and don't seem to have a clue what I'm talking about when I've tried to resolve them (i.e., lack of communication among the various parts of their company, apparently). I could go on and on, but, in a nutshell, Hostway has gone downhill.
