After trying their free hosting at 000webhost, I was excited to try their paid hosting.
The features Hosting24.com offers are comparable to most of the sites that charge a lot more. There are unlimited MySQL databases, remote MySQL, phpMyAdmin, PHP5 w/PHP 4, Perl/CGI, Ruby on Rails, ASP.NET, Python, 99.9% uptime guarantee, Live chat as well as ticketed support, unlimited POP3, and more. They have two level of hosting features, Silver and Gold, and there is little difference between them. Best of all, they provide backups.
I signed up for their site and paid about $22/$23 for 3 months of hosting. The site took care of everything for me, even popping up a tutorial on how to use the control panel once I navigated to it.
Speaking of the control panel, it is very easy to use and organized. It not only has the Getting Started Wizard, but video tutorials as well. You can also make shortcuts and change the style of it. Everything is clearly labeled. Not only do they perform backups themselves, they even have a backup wizard which allows you to download your entire site or parts of it, all in a convenient .zip file.
One of the best features is the Fantastico De Luxe. This lets you install 50+ scripts, from Blogs like Wordpress to Content Management to Drupal and PHP-Nuke to Customer Relationships, E-Commerce, Mailing Lists, Image Galleries, Discussion Boards, Wikis and more. It walks you through everything and sets it up for you.
Support is superb. Live Chat during business hours gets your problems solved quickly and efficiently. Filing a ticket takes a bit longer (up to 24 hours), but the staff is very friendly and always willing to help. I had mine answered within a few hours.
All in all, this webhost is fantastic and easily comparable to the ones who charge way more. Check it out for yourself, and take a demo of the CPanel. You'll be hooked as easy as I was.
