Seriously the worst registrar and ISP ever - even worse than Network Solutions (Verisign) in the 90s.
10 good reasons to RUN ... FAST!
1.) CONSTANTLY down & UNRELIABLE service
2.) on and off blacklisted server, hence your email bounces back
3.) no 800-number
4.) response times usually well above 24 hours, if any!
5.) SERIOUS LEGAL TROUBLES (google dotster, lawsuit, cybersquatting)
6.) NO system status page - Hmmm, I wonder why....
7.) absolutely arrogant and ignorant when dealing with problems
8.) they SPAM your mailbox full with useless offers and sales pitches
9.) super incompetent customer support
10.) seem to lock customer accounts if they try to transfer domains away
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS OR YOU'LL REGRET IT.
The also hide behind several other companies such as:
namezero.com
Mydomain.com
namesdirect.com
etc.
They even removed their own(!) forums from their website (http://forum.mydomain.com/) in order to avoid that prospective/existing customers to see what is REALLY going :-)
Again, I encourage everybody to do his/her own USENET & Internet research before considering Dotster.com, Mydomain.com - or whatever they call them these days - for any services.
