Websites get hacked and no support

I have been with Bagful for around 7-8 years and I was indeed very pleased with them until last 2 years ago, when almost everything started going down the hill with the company. There was a guy (called Jagdip) who was very responsible and took care of the things when they went wrong - but he is not working there anymore and current staff is only focused on making sales and are not concerned at all with solving customer problems .

Here are SOME of the problems I faced (consistently over last 2 years):

1. Websites being hacked - all my websites got hacked multiple times. I understand that security is also my responsibility and I tried to do my best (including implementing their recommendations) but it did not help. What is even more surprising is that even static (plain HTML) websites got hacked - and they did not have any explanation/solution to offer. When I asked what they can do - the final answer was to upgrade to VPS (so that they can make more money) but they refused to take ANY responsibility or offer even basic solution.

Here is the reply:

Hi Sir,
I request you to shift your sites to a host who can guarantee against hacking. We will not be able to guarantee you that.

2. Website being down - my own (and clients) websites were down too often - and every time I had to raise ticket to bring them live (and wait for hours and sometime days) - they don't monitor which website is down or take any action unless you chase them.

3. No phone - if you have serious problem, you can only raise ticket which often is very slow and painful process. You would struggle to find even their contact details on their website.

4. Sales NOT Support - every time you raise a serious problem with them, they ask you to upgrade to VPS/Dedicated server and when you do so, things/problems remain the same. One of my client had e-commerce website and I (and client) had hard time when their website was down for days - they not only lost business but also reputation (and brand value). The staff (especially Sham - who seem to be in charge) is very rude, as you can see in above reply. Note: they do NOT like taking blame for ANYTHING - I have not heard the word 'sorry' even when they know it was their fault or when websites were down for days for no fault of my client (and when the client lost £100's every day in revenue).

There are many more problems and my patience with them is now over (I really tried to solve problems and help them improve services but it failed every time). I regret why I did not move away earlier.

My suggestions:
1. If price matters to you - there are many cheaper hosting providers
2. If services (uptime, security and customer support) matters to you, there are better hosting providers.
3. If there is any other reason you are considering them - I leave it upto you to decide.

I hope some would find it useful and that it would save you time, money, efforts and unnecessary pain.
