(3*) 🔧 Services: Web HostingDomain Registration
GWS Technologies LTD is a Mauritius-based web development, cloud and hosting company headquartered in Moka. The business was established in 2006, with website and e-commerce development activities operating since 2007. Jacques David Commarmond leads the company as CEO, while the wider team covers development, design, systems administration, technical support, digital marketing and project management.

GWS combines conventional hosting with managed infrastructure and digital-agency services. Its portfolio includes cPanel Hosting, Managed WordPress Hosting, Cloud VPS, Dedicated Cloud Hosting, Domain Registration, SSL Certificates, Google Workspace, email security, website backup, monitoring, website maintenance, web development, e-commerce development and digital services. This makes it particularly suitable for companies that prefer to keep hosting, website development and ongoing technical maintenance with the same provider.

The standard cPanel Hosting range is available in self-managed and fully managed versions. Entry-level self-managed hosting starts with 5 GB of storage, while larger packages increase capacity through 10 GB, 15 GB, 20 GB, 40 GB, 100 GB and 150 GB. The platform includes cPanel, FTP and SSH access, WordPress Toolkit, MySQL databases, email accounts within the available storage allowance, free SSL certificates, Imunify360 security, Cloudflare CDN integration, daily off-site backups, JetBackup, DDoS and WAF protection, multiple PHP versions and migration assistance. Customers can choose hosting infrastructure in Mauritius or the United Kingdom.

Fully managed cPanel hosting is available for customers that prefer GWS to handle more of the server and hosting administration. This is a useful option for companies without an internal system administrator or for businesses that want their web-development and hosting environment maintained by the same technical team.

The Managed WordPress portfolio is considerably broader than that of many conventional hosting companies. GWS Cloud Managed WordPress powered by WP Cloud uses Automattic's WordPress infrastructure and includes unlimited visitors and bandwidth, staging, automatic scaling, CDN delivery, WAF protection, DDoS mitigation, daily backups, monitoring and migration assistance. The entry configuration includes 25 GB of storage, two PHP workers and support for one production website with a staging environment. Higher plans increase storage and PHP processing capacity.

GWS also provides Pressable Managed WordPress Hosting, another platform closely integrated with the Automattic ecosystem. Pressable plans include geo-redundant infrastructure, automatic scaling, staging environments, hourly and daily backups, Jetpack security, AMD EPYC infrastructure and 24/7 WordPress hosting support. These plans are suitable for business websites, professional WordPress installations and larger WooCommerce projects.

A further premium WordPress option is based on Kinsta and Google Cloud. This service includes nginx, Cloudflare Enterprise protection, wildcard SSL, application monitoring, CDN acceleration, object caching, backup retention and access to numerous Google Cloud locations. It is particularly appropriate for WordPress websites where managed performance, scalability and technical assistance are more important than achieving the lowest monthly hosting cost.

Cloud VPS plans begin with four CPU cores, 6 GB RAM, 100 GB SSD storage and one IPv4 address. Larger configurations provide additional CPU, memory and storage resources. VPS hosting is principally self-managed, although management services can be added when required. SSD storage and additional security, backup and administration options make the VPS range suitable for custom applications, development environments and websites requiring more isolation than shared hosting.

For higher workloads, Dedicated Cloud Hosting combines dedicated cloud resources with a managed cPanel/WHM environment. Entry configurations start with four vCPUs, 16 GB RAM and 50 GB SSD storage, while larger options extend to 16 vCPUs and 64 GB RAM. Depending on the package, the platform can include cPanel, CloudLinux, Imunify360, LiteSpeed, nginx, server management, Acronis backup and separate off-site disaster-recovery storage.

Domain services cover common extensions such as .com, .net, .org, .biz and .co, together with country-code and specialist extensions. Domain registration, transfers, DNS management and renewals are handled through the customer account. Eligible domain transfers normally include an additional year of registration.

Free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates cover ordinary hosted websites, while commercial DV, OV and EV SSL certificates are available for customers requiring additional validation or commercial certificate options.

GWS also provides Google Workspace, incoming and outgoing email filtering, email archiving, CodeGuard website backup, 360 Monitoring and recurring website-maintenance agreements. CodeGuard adds automated remote backup, file-change monitoring, malware monitoring and restore tools, while 360 Monitoring adds external uptime and performance monitoring.

The websites and customer services are primarily available in English. Hosting and related services are primarily priced in Mauritian rupees, while the billing system also supports EUR, GBP and USD. The website uses a modern responsive design suitable for both desktop and mobile visitors.

💰 Price & Cost

The hosting range covers both low-cost shared hosting and substantially more expensive managed infrastructure. Self-managed cPanel Hosting starts at approximately Rs 800 per month for 5 GB of storage, with an annual price around Rs 8,000. Fully managed cPanel hosting starts at approximately Rs 4,180 per month. Annual cPanel plans generally provide twelve months of service for the equivalent cost of ten monthly payments.

Managed WordPress starts from approximately Rs 750 per month on the WP Cloud platform. Pressable packages begin at around Rs 1,000 per month, while Kinsta-based managed WordPress starts at approximately Rs 4,700 per month.

Cloud VPS starts at approximately Rs 6,000 per month, while managed Dedicated Cloud Hosting begins around Rs 25,000 per month. These higher-end plans are aimed at business applications and websites that need dedicated resources, additional management and more extensive security and backup features.

Payments can be made using credit/debit cards and PayPal, while recurring billing is supported. Customer accounts can be billed in MUR, GBP, USD or EUR. PayPal payments are handled in USD or GBP according to the applicable billing conditions.

Hosting services have no general money-back guarantee. Services renew automatically unless cancelled, and cancellation normally has to be submitted at least 45 days before the renewal invoice due date. Duplicate or excess PayPal payments can be credited to the customer account rather than refunded. Late balances may also incur a 5% fee.

🏢 Data Center

Standard cPanel hosting is available from Mauritius and the United Kingdom, giving local Mauritian customers the option of hosting closer to their domestic audience while also providing a European option for international projects. The platform uses SSD storage together with Cloudflare integration, Imunify360, daily off-site backups, SSL protection and DDoS/WAF security.

Standard cPanel hosting carries a 99% uptime guarantee. The same 99% uptime guarantee applies to the VPS and Dedicated Cloud ranges.

Dedicated Cloud plans add several layers of resilience and backup. Depending on the selected configuration, daily incremental Acronis backups are stored in the United Kingdom, while additional off-site disaster-recovery storage can also be included. Backup infrastructure also uses DigitalOcean resources in Frankfurt, Germany.

Managed WordPress infrastructure is considerably more geographically distributed. WP Cloud uses multiple origin locations together with a global edge network of approximately 23 data centers. Its architecture combines CDN delivery, automatic scaling, DDoS protection and geo-redundant WordPress infrastructure. The standard uptime level associated with this platform is 99.9%.

Kinsta-based WordPress hosting runs on Google Cloud's premium network and provides access to approximately 37 Google Cloud data-center locations. This makes it possible to place WordPress workloads significantly closer to their intended audience compared with conventional single-location hosting.

✍️ Customer Support

GWS provides sales, billing and technical assistance from its Mauritius operation through its helpdesk, customer portal, email and telephone support. One practical advantage is the combination of hosting technicians and web developers within the same company. Problems involving WordPress, custom development, server configuration, domains or website maintenance can therefore be handled without moving between unrelated suppliers.

Managed WordPress packages provide stronger around-the-clock coverage. Pressable hosting includes 24/7 WordPress support, while Kinsta-based hosting includes 24/7 chat support.

VPS hosting is normally self-managed unless an additional management service is purchased. Chargeable server intervention is also available when customers need direct technical work from GWS. Standard intervention during Mauritius office hours is billed separately, while emergency assistance outside normal hours carries a higher rate.

Complaints submitted through the company's support process normally receive a response within 48 hours.

🔨 Control Panel

cPanel is the principal control panel for standard shared hosting. Customers receive cPanel together with WordPress Toolkit, database administration, email management, FTP and SSH access, SSL controls, JetBackup and integrated security tools.

Managed Dedicated Cloud configurations use WHM/cPanel, with the cPanel license level depending on the selected server package. These environments can additionally include CloudLinux, Imunify360, LiteSpeed and nginx.

Cloud VPS customers have more direct server control and can add cPanel or management services when needed.

WP Cloud, Pressable and Kinsta use their own managed WordPress administration environments instead of conventional cPanel hosting.

🎯 Conclusion

GWS Technologies provides an unusually complete combination of hosting, managed cloud infrastructure, WordPress specialization and web-development services for the Mauritius market. Its main strengths are the choice between Mauritius and UK cPanel hosting, several distinct Managed WordPress platforms, managed dedicated infrastructure, strong backup and security options and the ability to combine hosting with ongoing website development and maintenance.

The product range can accommodate very different customers. Smaller websites can begin with inexpensive self-managed cPanel or WP Cloud hosting, while larger business projects can move to Pressable, Kinsta, Cloud VPS or Dedicated Cloud without changing provider. Domains, SSL certificates, Google Workspace, email security, website monitoring and maintenance agreements further extend the service portfolio.

The main commercial limitation is the absence of a conventional money-back guarantee. Customers should also note that standard cPanel, VPS and Dedicated Cloud products use a 99% uptime guarantee, while the more specialized managed WordPress platforms offer stronger availability architecture.

For businesses that value local Mauritius support, managed WordPress expertise, cPanel administration, cloud hosting and integrated web-development services, GWS Technologies offers a broad and technically capable service range.
