Zoner is an established Finnish web hosting and online-services company headquartered in Vantaa. Zoner Oy was founded in 2005, while its experience in online services reaches back to 2001. The company is led by founder and CEO Toni Claren and serves more than 58,000 customers in Finland, giving it a substantial position in the domestic hosting market.

The company became part of group.one in 2020, while continuing to operate under the Zoner name and the Finnish Zoner Oy legal entity. Its local presence expanded significantly during 2024. Telia Finland's web hosting and domain business moved to Zoner on August 1, 2024, followed by the acquisition of Wepardi's web hosting and domain business from INT2000 Oy on October 22, 2024. These transactions expanded both its hosting portfolio and Finnish customer base.

The service range covers Domains, Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, VPS / Cloud Servers, Reseller Hosting, Reseller Cloud, Email Hosting, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, SSL Certificates, Website Builder and managed WordPress maintenance. This makes Zoner suitable not only for individual website owners but also for businesses and agencies that want to manage domains, hosting, email and website-related services through one provider.

The regular web hosting portfolio consists of Mini, Startti, Sopiva and Yritys. These Linux hosting plans use NVMe/SSD storage and DirectAdmin. Annual hosting subscriptions include a domain registration, while email, SSL and standard website-management functions are integrated into the hosting environment.

Mini is aimed at smaller WordPress sites and includes 1 GB of storage, three email accounts and one database. Startti expands the resources to 20 GB of storage and ten mailboxes. Sopiva includes 40 GB, 20 mailboxes and two databases, while Yritys increases storage to 60 GB and removes practical restrictions on the number of email accounts and databases.

The larger shared hosting plans provide PHP 8.1 through 8.4, MariaDB 10.6, phpMyAdmin, SSH, HTTP/2, CGI/Perl, Cron and Node.js. Installatron makes popular applications such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, PrestaShop and Moodle easier to deploy and maintain. Mini remains more narrowly focused on WordPress.

The Cloud Server / VPS portfolio consists of S, M, L, XL and XXL configurations. Resources start with 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM and 100 GB NVMe on the S server and scale to 16 vCPU, 32 GB RAM and 800 GB NVMe with XXL. The servers include a 1 Gbit/s network connection, IPv4 and IPv6, up to 5,000 IOPS and Docker support.

Linux operating-system choices include AlmaLinux, Debian and Ubuntu, with CentOS variants also available. Windows is available from the M configuration upward. Plesk can be added as a commercial control panel.

A useful VPS feature is Resource Boost, which temporarily increases CPU and RAM by 50% or 100%. This can help with temporary traffic peaks, imports, development jobs or other workloads that require additional resources without permanently upgrading to a larger server.

Agencies and hosting companies can choose between Reseller Hosting and Reseller Cloud.
