WebSelf is a Canadian website-building and hosted web-presence platform created in Quebec in 2009 by Johanne Devin and Marius Hatot. It operates under NovAxis Solutions (novaxis.net), a Quebec technology company whose history goes back to 1989. WebSelf focuses primarily on freelancers, small businesses, artisans, associations, and individuals who want to create and maintain a professional website without programming or server-administration skills.

Its main platform is WebSelf Simple, an integrated website builder combining web hosting, a visual editor, HTTPS security, responsive design, website statistics, templates, and technical support. A new project can be generated from a short setup process and then customized through colors, fonts, pages, sections, text, and images. Hosting is fully managed, so customers do not need to install or maintain server software.

WebSelf Simple can be used for business websites, portfolios, blogs, landing pages, personal sites, and online stores. Paid packages add custom-domain support, professional email accounts, more storage, multilingual functionality, advanced statistics, marketing features, and eCommerce tools. Websites automatically adapt to desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones, while HTTPS is included with the hosting environment.

The current website packages are Starter, Growth, Advanced, and VIP. Starter allows up to 10 pages and 1 GB storage and is suitable for users connecting an existing domain. Growth increases capacity to 25 pages and 2 GB storage and includes one professional email account. Advanced supports up to 100 pages, 15 GB storage, two professional email accounts, enhanced statistics, and broader multilingual capabilities. VIP includes unlimited pages, 50 GB storage, five professional email accounts, additional multilingual functionality, professional analysis tools, and an online store.

The eCommerce platform includes product and category management, inventory tracking, tax configuration, orders, currencies, shipping methods, coupons, and digital-product sales. WebSelf does not take a percentage commission from store sales, although normal payment-processing fees can still apply.

WebSelf also provides a done-for-you design service for customers who prefer having their site created professionally. The service includes a one-page option with four sections and a Classic four-page custom website. Personalized assistance and two rounds of revisions are included, while the completed site remains manageable through the normal WebSelf interface afterward.

Long-standing customers may still use the previous WebSelf generation with package names such as Free, Basic, Pro, Business, and eCommerce. The newer Simple platform uses Starter, Growth, Advanced, and VIP instead, so account interfaces and available functions can differ between older and newer subscriptions.

The service is localized in English, French, and Spanish, making it accessible well beyond its original French-speaking Canadian market. The platform combines the site builder and hosting into a single subscription rather than selling conventional shared-hosting accounts with server-level access.
