Webou Pro is a Belgian-managed web hosting provider with roots going back to 2009. Founder Michaël Marchandise had already started the Webou project in 2006 as a free hosting platform without advertising, before turning the concept into the commercial Webou Pro service three years later.

A significant corporate change took place on July 15, 2024, when the Webou Pro hosting activity was transferred from Mimatech SPRL to Diogenius SPRL. Webou Pro subsequently became part of The Hosting Group (thehostinggroup.eu), whose hosting activities date back to 2002. Diogenius now operates the Webou Pro customer base and hosting services.

The product range concentrates on shared web hosting, higher-resource business hosting, managed WordPress hosting, domain registration, email, SSL certificates, backups and website-building tools. It is primarily a managed hosting service rather than a provider focused on unmanaged infrastructure.

Start Hosting is the entry-level shared hosting range. Start 1 provides 5 GB of disk space for around €4.49 per month, while Start 2 increases storage to 20 GB for around €5.49 per month and can include a domain with qualifying annual or longer subscriptions. Start hosting is suited to relatively modest websites and projects with approximately up to 10,000 monthly visitors.

Even the entry-level accounts include cPanel, SSL certificates, configurable PHP, phpMyAdmin, file management, database administration, unlimited email addresses, antispam protection, two-factor authentication, subdomains, Node.js support, website-building tools and simplified WordPress installation. Setup fees are not charged, while SSH access can be activated through support.

Premium Hosting provides substantially more resources for websites that have outgrown basic shared hosting. Premium 1 starts at around €6.49 per month with 20 GB of storage, while Premium 2 costs around €8.99 per month with 100 GB and supports multiple websites within the same hosting account. Premium accounts receive higher CPU, memory and disk I/O allocations and are suitable for considerably busier projects, including websites approaching roughly 100,000 monthly visitors depending on their resource requirements.

Pro Hosting is intended for business websites, online stores and other heavier workloads. Pro 1 costs approximately €19.99 per month and includes 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 100 GB storage, a dedicated IP address and priority support. Pro 2 increases the allocation to 6 vCPU, 6 GB RAM and 250 GB storage for around €29.99 per month, together with a dedicated IP address and priority support.

The Pro packages remain managed hosting products rather than unmanaged VPS accounts. Webou Pro handles the underlying server environment, allowing customers to benefit from increased resources without taking responsibility for operating-system maintenance, security updates or low-level server administration.

WordPress Hosting is available through WordPress Go and WordPress Max. Entry pricing is approximately €4.16 per month for WordPress Go and €6.99 per month for WordPress Max. These packages combine WordPress installation and management with automatic updates, backups and restoration tools while retaining conventional hosting functions such as email, SSL, file access and database access.

Automatic backups are included with the hosting service. Full hosting backups are generated several times per week, with daily, weekly and monthly recovery points retained. Restoration functions are available through the hosting environment, and customers can also create manual full backups. This provides useful protection against common website problems, although important production websites should still maintain an independent backup copy.

SSL certificates are included with hosting and are generated automatically after the domain becomes active. HTTPS redirection can then be enabled from the hosting control panel. Two-factor authentication is available for both customer-account and hosting-management access.

Email functionality is integrated into the hosting packages, with unlimited email addresses, spam filtering and normal mailbox-management tools. Small businesses can therefore operate their website and domain-based email accounts within the same hosting subscription.

The customer interface supports an unusually broad range of languages, including Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian. French remains an important part of the service, but customers are not limited to a French-only interface. Product prices can be displayed in EUR or USD.

Some areas of the service still retain older WHMCS-era wording and legacy policy text, and company identity information has not been completely standardized throughout every section. Post-transfer ordering information identifies Diogenius SPRL, BE 0478.449.332, while another footer contains the older company number 7832763. Domain prices can also vary between headline pricing and the final order configuration, making the checkout total the most useful reference when completing a purchase.
