Webmasters.com is one of the older American web hosting and domain companies still operating under its original Internet-era identity. The business began on October 3, 1994, in Tampa, Florida, and operates under NetTuner Corp. (nettuner.com), formerly known as TheNet.com. Its early development involved a group of technology specialists, while Leonard Bensonoff serves as company president.

The privately held company concentrates on integrated Internet services supported by technology developed internally. Its expansion has included the acquisition of Webspace (webspace.com), Webservers (webservers.com), and Yourname (yourname.com), strengthening its position in hosting, domains, and related online services.

Webmasters.com is also an ICANN-accredited registrar, operating under IANA registrar ID 634. Its registrar portfolio includes approximately 9,991 domains, giving it a more substantial domain-management background than many small independent hosting providers.

The current service range covers Domain Registration, Business Hosting, Virtual Servers, Managed Servers, server mirroring, email services, SSL certificates, custom website design, e-commerce development, content management systems, Internet marketing, traffic-building services, reseller accounts, and affiliate or partner programs.

The Business Hosting package is the main shared-hosting product. It supports as many as 100 additional domains under one primary account and includes unlimited disk space, data transfer, email accounts, FTP access, MySQL or MariaDB databases, subdomains, DNS management, traffic statistics, application installation, file management, and backup-recovery tools. Storage above 10 GB is allocated in additional 10 GB increments upon request rather than being provisioned as an unrestricted volume from the beginning.

PHP 7.4 and PHP 8.4 are available, together with Perl, Python, scheduled tasks, secure FTP, IMAP, webmail, spam filtering, antivirus filtering, and WordPress installation. Free website transfers and domain transfers are included. Shell, Telnet, and SSH access are not available.

The Virtual Server product operates more like semi-dedicated managed hosting than a modern cloud VPS. Each server is shared among approximately four to six customers and includes 8 GB of shared memory, one IP address, and support for as many as 100 separately hosted websites. The environment is fully managed and does not include root or SSH access. It can suit agencies and website owners that need greater isolation and capacity than ordinary shared hosting without assuming responsibility for Linux administration.

The Managed Server service provides dedicated hardware with at least 16 GB of memory, three IP addresses, unlimited hosted domains, reseller-account functionality, server monitoring, and nightly backups. Administration remains under the company’s control, so customers do not receive shell or root access. This makes the service easier to operate for non-technical businesses, although it is less flexible for developers requiring custom packages, containers, virtualization, deployment automation, or unrestricted operating-system control.

Customers using two or more managed servers can add Server Mirroring. This arrangement places systems in two physical locations using different Internet backbones, with DNS-based load distribution and failover. It is the strongest infrastructure option for businesses requiring redundancy without building and managing their own cluster.

Domain registration includes DNS management, domain locking, bulk updates, account sub-users, parking, traffic statistics, automatic renewal, fraud protection, and direct registry access. Standard extensions include .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, and .us, together with several alternative extensions. Domains can remain registered with Webmasters.com even when the hosting service is maintained elsewhere.

The development department handles custom websites, redesigns, shopping carts, custom PHP and database applications, content management systems, website migration, business automation, and ongoing webmaster assistance. WordPress and other ready-made applications are available for customers who prefer to build and maintain their own websites.

E-commerce services include free Let’s Encrypt certificates, shopping-cart support, custom payment integrations, mailing-list management, OpenPGP-related tools, and custom online-store development. The qMailer system supports mailing lists containing as many as 5,000 subscribers per list.

Traffic and Internet-marketing services include search-engine consulting, manual SEO work, paid-search assistance, link-development services, traffic partnerships, and custom marketing campaigns. Some areas still reference discontinued or historically important platforms such as Yahoo Search Marketing, MSN, and older link-exchange methods. These services should be evaluated individually before purchase rather than treated as a modern managed SEO platform.

The website has a dated, fixed-width, image-heavy design associated with the earlier commercial Internet. Navigation remains functional, but the interface is better suited to desktop screens and lacks the streamlined, responsive ordering experience common among contemporary cloud providers. Older software and Internet-marketing references remain alongside current PHP 8 support. The website operates in English, and service prices are displayed in US dollars.
