Webio is a Polish hosting provider operated by Webio Grzegorz Wołoszyn in Gorzów Wielkopolski. The business has operated since July 1, 2008, while the webio.pl domain dates back to 2007. Grzegorz Wołoszyn owns the company, registered under NIP 599-26-88-099, EU VAT PL5992688099 and REGON 080265578.

The service range focuses on Windows/ASP.NET hosting, Linux hosting, WordPress and Joomla hosting, e-mail hosting, domains, DNS hosting and SSL certificates. Webio does not currently have VPS or dedicated-server packages in its regular hosting lineup. The service is oriented mainly toward the Polish market, with hosting located in Poland and prices quoted in Polish złoty. The main commercial website is in Polish, although English and German are available in parts of the customer interface.

Windows hosting is one of Webio's strongest areas. The ASP.NET lineup includes a free 14-day Test account together with Startowy, Podstawowy, Rozszerzony, Dla wymagających and Premium packages. Paid plans provide between 1.5 GB and 12 GB of disk space with 2 TB monthly transfer. Depending on the selected package, accounts support between 2 and 16 independent main-domain websites, additional subdomain websites, MSSQL and MySQL databases, unlimited domains and subdomains, FTP accounts, e-mail accounts, scheduled tasks and dedicated application pools.

The Windows environment supports both older and current Microsoft applications. Available technologies include ASP.NET 2.0 through 4.8, ASP.NET Core and .NET 10, WebDeploy and Visual Studio publishing, IIS URL Rewrite, PHP, WordPress, Joomla and Umbraco. .NET 10 support was added in November 2025, making Webio particularly useful for developers working with modern Microsoft applications while still maintaining compatibility with older ASP.NET projects. MSSQL is still based on SQL Server 2012, however, so applications that depend on newer SQL Server functionality need additional compatibility checks.

Linux hosting is divided between WordPress / Joomla and the more flexible Linux Hosting package. WordPress / Joomla includes 5 GB of storage, 2 TB monthly transfer, one main website and one MySQL database. Linux Hosting increases the allocation to 10 GB, two websites and two MySQL databases and adds Node.js, Ruby and SSH access within a chroot environment. Both packages use Plesk and include free Let's Encrypt SSL, HTTP/2, unlimited FTP accounts and integrated e-mail. Free 14-day test accounts are available for both configurations.

The Linux PHP environment deserves attention for newer applications. The package specifications list PHP versions from 5.3 through 7.3, while Windows hosting supports PHP 7.x and 8.x. PHP 7.3 is long outside upstream security support, so current WordPress, Joomla and custom PHP projects should have their required PHP version confirmed before migration.

Standalone e-mail hosting uses SmarterMail Enterprise and comes in Mini, Normal and Maxi configurations. The service includes webmail, synchronization, calendars, tasks and notes, as well as mailing lists, groups and forwarding. The e-mail specifications contain some inconsistencies between the ordering interface and individual package information, particularly around monthly transfer and mailbox capacity, so these limits are worth confirming before selecting an e-mail-only account.

Domain registration and transfer cover Polish, European, global and numerous country and specialized extensions. Webio also has a free DNS Hosting service for domains delegated to its DNS infrastructure. The authoritative nameservers are ns1.webio.pl and ns2.webio.pl.

SSL is available through both free and commercial options. Website hosting includes automatically renewed Let's Encrypt certificates without requiring a dedicated IP address, and externally purchased certificates can also be installed. Commercial certificates include RapidSSL DV and Wildcard products. GeoTrust and Verisign remain represented in the certificate area, although no active products are currently listed under those categories.

Backups cover databases, website files and e-mail. Customers can additionally create their own manual or scheduled backup tasks. Website files and MySQL or MSSQL databases can be archived daily, weekly, monthly or according to a custom schedule. Hosting storage is SSD based.
