📄 Editorial Review
WebHostUK is a British web hosting provider with a history dating back to 2003, giving it more than two decades of experience in the hosting industry. The present operating company, WEBHOSTUK LIMITED, was incorporated in England and Wales on January 28, 2009, under company number 06804234. Sameer Vinayak Kulkarni is the active director and person with significant control, while the registered business address is in London. The hosting range is considerably broader than a typical shared-hosting provider. Services include Linux Shared Hosting, Windows Hosting, WordPress Hosting, WooCommerce Hosting, Ecommerce Hosting, Linux and Windows Reseller Hosting, VPS, Managed Cloud Servers, Dedicated Servers, Managed Proxmox Private Cloud, Domain Registration, SSL Certificates, Email Hosting, backups and Server Management. There are also specialized packages for Magento, OpenCart, osCommerce, X-Cart, Joomla, Drupal, MODX, Django, phpBB, SMF, Vanilla forums, learning-management systems, Wiki applications, FFMPEG workloads and Skadate.
Linux Shared Hosting is suitable for personal websites, blogs, business sites and common PHP/MySQL applications. Storage is based on NVMe SSDs, with packages starting from a small single-site account and scaling to significantly larger multi-website configurations. The environment combines CloudLinux isolation, LiteSpeed acceleration, caching, Softaculous, malware protection, free SSL certificates, daily backups, website migration and CDN integration.
DDoS and CDN functionality is integrated with Cloudflare, while Imunify360 adds another security layer at server level. Sitejet is included for customers who prefer an AI-assisted drag-and-drop website builder instead of installing a CMS. The overall Linux hosting stack is well suited to WordPress and other popular PHP applications without requiring customers to administer a server themselves.
Windows Hosting remains a fully supported product line. These packages use Plesk and support ASP.NET, .NET and Microsoft database workloads. Entry plans are designed for a single website, while larger accounts support dozens of websites. Free SSL, daily backups, CDN access and migration assistance are included, making the Windows range useful for businesses that still depend on Microsoft technologies or prefer Plesk administration.
Managed WordPress Hosting adds WordPress-specific management and performance tools. Entry plans support a single website with NVMe storage and dedicated memory allocation, while larger packages increase storage, RAM and website limits. The WordPress environment includes one-click installation, staging, WP-CLI, PHP-FPM, OpCache, LiteSpeed acceleration, security scanning and migration assistance.
WooCommerce hosting follows the same managed approach but is optimized for online stores. Separate ecommerce hosting also covers platforms such as Magento, OpenCart, osCommerce and X-Cart, giving customers alternatives when WooCommerce is not the preferred shopping-cart platform.
Linux Reseller Hosting is aimed at hosting businesses, web designers and agencies managing multiple customer accounts. Packages range from relatively small NVMe allocations to plans with around 200 GB of storage. cPanel/WHM and Webuzo are used within the Linux reseller range, while private-label features and a domain reseller account help customers operate under their own hosting brand. Larger packages also include WHMCS.
Windows reseller hosting provides a similar concept for customers requiring Plesk and Microsoft hosting technologies. Resellers remain responsible for handling communication and first-line support for their own customers, while infrastructure-related issues can be escalated to WebHostUK.
Managed VPS Hosting provides substantially more isolation and control than shared hosting while retaining server administration assistance. Linux configurations begin with approximately 2 GB RAM, two CPU cores and 50 GB NVMe storage and scale to larger systems with considerably more CPU and memory resources. Dedicated IP addresses, large bandwidth quotas and high-speed connectivity are included.
Linux VPS customers can use cPanel/WHM or Webuzo depending on the required management environment. Windows VPS is available separately with Windows Server and Plesk, making the platform suitable for ASP.NET applications, remote Windows workloads and software requiring a Microsoft operating system.
VPS infrastructure is available in London, United Kingdom and Phoenix, United States. This is useful for customers choosing between a European location and a North American deployment rather than being limited to a single UK server location.
Managed Cloud Servers occupy the next step above conventional VPS hosting. These systems use a virtualized high-availability architecture with NVMe RAID storage and significantly larger resource allocations. Configurations extend from smaller business servers to systems with approximately 48 GB RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.
Cloud management includes initial configuration, security hardening, system updates, monitoring, migration assistance, troubleshooting and recovery work. Daily snapshots provide an additional recovery layer, while longer-retention managed backup services are available separately for more important workloads.
Dedicated Servers are available with Linux and Windows operating systems. Linux systems use Intel Xeon or AMD EPYC processors with SSD or NVMe storage, dedicated IP resources and server-management assistance. Dedicated hosting is better suited to high-traffic websites, databases, ecommerce applications, custom business software and customers needing exclusive hardware resources.
At the enterprise end, WebHostUK offers a Managed Proxmox Private Cloud built around Proxmox (proxmox.com). A typical architecture uses three cluster nodes distributed between Telehouse West and Telehouse North 2 in London. Configurations can include 256 GB ECC RAM per cluster node, SSD/NVMe virtual-machine storage, 10 Gb/s networking, a /26 IP range, snapshot backups and continuous cluster monitoring.
This private-cloud configuration adds KVM virtual machines, LXC containers, high availability, software-defined storage and flexible networking. It is significantly different from purchasing a single VPS and is aimed more at businesses needing redundant virtualization infrastructure, multiple virtual machines or an environment that can tolerate individual node failures.
WebHostUK also provides Email Hosting independently of normal website hosting. Smaller email packages support several mailboxes, while larger business plans increase account allowances and provide POP3/IMAP access, webmail and spam filtering. This makes it possible to use the company purely for business email without moving an existing website.
SSL options include free Let's Encrypt certificates with applicable hosting packages and paid certificates such as RapidSSL and GeoTrust. Commercial certificates are useful when a business specifically requires a paid certificate product rather than a standard domain-validated Let's Encrypt certificate.
Another useful part of the portfolio is Server Management. WebHostUK can manage servers independently of ordinary shared hosting, including monitoring, security checks, software updates, patching, optimization, firewall work, troubleshooting and recovery assistance. One-off administration work is also available for customers that need technical intervention without a permanent management contract.
The website operates in English, and no multi-language/localized version exists. Product pricing is primarily displayed in GBP, which fits the company's UK focus.
