📄 Editorial Review

Volico is a US data center and infrastructure provider founded in 2000, operating through Biznesshosting, Inc. dba Volico. The company originated from a team of senior network engineers, with Gadi Hus associated with its founding and technical development. Its focus is substantially broader than conventional web hosting, covering colocation, dedicated servers, cloud hosting, managed infrastructure, network connectivity, security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

The company is particularly well suited to organizations that need physical infrastructure and direct engineering support rather than an inexpensive shared-hosting account. Colocation ranges from quarter and half cabinets to full private cabinets, cages, and custom private suites. Customers can combine rack space and power with carrier-neutral connectivity, cross-connects, monitoring, Smart Hands, managed networking, security, backups, operating-system administration, and migration services.

Managed Hosting covers server maintenance, operating-system administration, resource monitoring, networking, security updates, managed firewall and VPN services, backup and storage, Unified Threat Management, clustering, load balancing, server monitoring, migration work, managed colocation, managed cloud infrastructure, and managed dedicated servers. The availability of 24-hour Smart Hands is especially useful for colocated environments where customers need technicians to perform physical cabling, installation, replacement, reboot, or troubleshooting work without sending their own staff to the facility.

Security services extend beyond basic firewall administration. Available options include intrusion prevention, malware protection, application control, VPN, web filtering, email security, managed firewall services, Unified Threat Management, monitoring, and DDoS mitigation. These services are suitable for companies that want infrastructure and security operations managed together.

Dedicated Servers are available with Linux or Windows and include both standard configurations and lower-cost clearance hardware. The platform supports traditional dedicated hosting, managed dedicated servers, and high-bandwidth or unmetered configurations. Customers can add monitoring, backups, managed firewall services, operating-system administration, remote reboot capability, control-panel management, and other operational services.

Some dedicated configurations use older Xeon processors and DDR3-era hardware, while the catalog has also included Apple M1 bare-metal servers. This makes the lower-cost inventory useful for workloads where price and dedicated resources matter more than having the newest processor generation. For more demanding applications, the precise processor generation and current inventory should be established as part of the order.

Unmetered Dedicated Servers can use 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1000 Mbps connectivity and include IPMI access. This is useful for sustained-transfer workloads where predictable bandwidth is more important than metered monthly traffic allocations.

Cloud Hosting is based on KVM virtualization and includes Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, and managed cloud environments. Public Cloud uses flexible consumption-based infrastructure that can be deployed and resized as requirements change. Private Cloud supplies dedicated resources with predictable fixed costs, scalable compute and storage, and unmetered bandwidth. Hybrid Cloud can connect virtual infrastructure with dedicated servers and colocated equipment over private connectivity.

The hybrid approach is particularly useful for companies that need to separate workloads according to performance, security, or compliance requirements. Sensitive applications can remain on dedicated or private infrastructure while other workloads use flexible cloud capacity.

Volico also provides Enterprise Hosting that combines servers, storage, networking, security, applications, managed infrastructure, private cloud, backup, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity. Industry-specific infrastructure is available for healthcare, financial services, government, retail, and media environments. Compliance capabilities include HIPAA-oriented hosting, PCI environments, SSAE/SOC controls, SOC 2 Type II requirements, and NIST-related infrastructure.

This is not a typical consumer hosting company with a large catalog of entry-level shared hosting and reseller packages. Its strongest area is infrastructure for organizations that need colocation, dedicated equipment, managed services, compliance, high availability, cloud resources, or direct engineering assistance.

Pricing is primarily in US dollars (USD), which is appropriate for its US-focused infrastructure and enterprise customer base.
