Unix-Solutions is an independent Belgian hosting, cloud, connectivity, and data center company established in 2005 by Steven Bens, who remains its CEO. The company began with web hosting and steadily expanded into infrastructure services, opening its first data center in Zaventem in 2013 and a second facility in Leuven in 2018. ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification followed in 2016.

The company now covers almost the full infrastructure chain, including Linux shared hosting, business hosting, reseller hosting, domain registration, SSL certificates, hosted email, VPS, dedicated servers, colocation, managed Nextcloud, backup storage, private cloud, point-to-point fiber, and managed infrastructure. Its relatively compact technical team and independently operated Belgian infrastructure make it particularly suitable for local businesses, public organizations, IT providers, and European customers requiring Belgian data residency.

The entry-level Linux shared hosting plans are intended for personal websites, smaller organizations, and standard business projects. Storage starts at 500 MB, while all packages include unlimited traffic, unlimited mailboxes, daily backups, SFTP access, PHP, Git, and Composer. Database allocations increase with the selected package.

Business hosting follows the same overall structure but provides between 30 GB and 250 GB of storage, unlimited databases, and more capacity for corporate websites, web applications, and larger email environments. Daily backups are included. Individual restoration requests are handled on a best-effort basis and cost €25, so important applications should also maintain an independent backup routine.

The reseller hosting range allows agencies and hosting providers to manage multiple customer accounts under one package. Capacity starts at 5 GB and reaches 1 TB, with unlimited domains, mailboxes, databases, and traffic. Domain resellers receive a separate automated interface for registrations and transfers. Unix-Solutions is an accredited DNS Belgium agent and supports Belgian, European, international, and newer generic domain extensions.

Hosted email is based on Kerio and provides a more complete groupware environment than the mailboxes included with ordinary hosting. It includes calendars, contacts, webmail, desktop and mobile synchronization, antivirus protection, antispam filtering, backups, and collaboration tools. Packages range from individual 10 GB or 20 GB mailboxes to larger bundles containing 10 or 25 mailboxes.

The VPS portfolio is divided into standard and professional configurations. Entry-level systems provide between 1 and 4 virtual CPU cores, 1 GB to 4 GB RAM, and 25 GB to 100 GB SSD storage. Professional configurations extend to 10 virtual CPU cores, 64 GB RAM, and 1 TB storage. IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity are included, together with a choice of operating systems and access to a redundant cloud platform. Processor, memory, storage, and traffic resources can be expanded when required.

Dedicated servers use Dell PowerEdge hardware, including R430, R630, and R640 systems. Customers can choose self-managed operation or administration by Unix-Solutions. Available operating systems include Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, and Proxmox. These systems are suitable for private applications, virtualization platforms, databases, high-traffic websites, and workloads that require predictable physical resources.

Colocation starts with individual 1U and 2U placements and extends to quarter racks, half racks, full racks, and dedicated rooms. The international Ship Your Server option allows customers to send equipment directly to Belgium, where the technical team can install, connect, and manage it. Remote assistance is also available for hardware interventions.

Managed Nextcloud is available for organizations needing private file storage, synchronization, sharing, and collaboration. Capacity ranges from 1 TB to 50 TB, with unlimited users and traffic, SSL, encryption, installation assistance, and platform updates. All hosted information remains in Belgium.

Separate backup storage plans range from 50 GB to 50 TB. Larger infrastructure requirements can be handled through private cloud deployments based on Proxmox virtualization and Ceph storage. These environments support scalable clusters, high availability, fault-tolerant storage, and self-healing functions.

Unix-Solutions also provides point-to-point fiber, private connections between offices and data centers, and custom infrastructure projects. This makes the company useful for organizations that prefer to keep hosting, connectivity, physical infrastructure, private cloud, and technical management with one Belgian provider.
