UNET is one of the longest-established Internet and web service companies in North Macedonia, with roots going back to 1995. It started as the country's first Internet provider and gradually expanded into hosting, domain registration, business email, cloud infrastructure, website development, e-commerce and technical maintenance. The company has more than three decades of local-market experience, over 20,000 customers, more than 5,000 registered domains and over 500 completed web projects.UNET has close historical ties with ULTRA Computing (ultra.com.mk), which established the company in 1995 as Macedonia's first ISP. The wider Ultra-Unet Group has been associated with Aneta Antova-Pesheva and Antoni Peshev, with Antoni Peshev also known as a co-founder of Ultra/Unet. UNET operates from Skopje and remains privately held.
Its history includes several important milestones for the Macedonian Internet sector, including the country's first Internet connection, first registered Macedonian .mk domain, first Macedonian website and search engine, early distance-learning and e-banking implementations, the first local e-commerce portal, ISO-certified ISP operations and early adoption of cloud services. UNET is also an authorized registrar for the national .mk domain.
The hosting portfolio covers cPanel WordPress hosting, Linux shared hosting, Windows shared hosting, Linux Cloud VPS and Windows Cloud VPS, giving customers a useful choice between traditional shared hosting and virtual cloud infrastructure. The company also handles domains, DNS, SSL certificates, business email, website development, e-commerce and technical maintenance.
The cPanel WordPress range includes C10, C20, C30 and C60 packages. Storage ranges from 10 GB to 60 GB, with between two and 15 MySQL databases and five to 20 email addresses. PHP 8.0 through PHP 8.3 is supported, while the packages include free SSL, seven-day backups and 24/7 uptime monitoring. This is the most straightforward option for WordPress users who prefer the familiar cPanel environment.
The regular Linux shared hosting range consists of L1, L10, L20 and L30. Website storage starts at 5 GB and reaches 30 GB, while email receives a separate allocation from 20 GB to 150 GB. Depending on the package, customers receive between one and ten MySQL databases, one to five subdomains and two to 15 email accounts. PHP support covers versions from 7.4 through 8.3. Free SSL, backups and continuous uptime monitoring are included.
UNET also retains conventional Windows shared hosting, which is increasingly uncommon among mainstream hosting providers. W1 through W30 provide 5 GB to 30 GB of website storage together with separate email allocations of 20 GB to 150 GB. MS SQL databases, ASP support, email accounts and subdomains are included according to package level, together with SSL, backups and uptime monitoring.
For customers requiring more resources and isolation, Linux Cloud VPS starts with 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 100 GB storage, two IP addresses and unlimited monthly traffic. Cloud Advanced increases capacity to 4 CPU cores, 8 GB RAM and 200 GB storage, while Cloud Ultra provides 6 CPU cores, 12 GB RAM and 400 GB storage. Standard configurations include system setup as well as limited backup/restore, operating-system reinstallation and VPS reconfiguration services. Customized VPS configurations are also available.
The Windows Cloud VPS range follows the same general model. Basic provides 1 CPU core, 4 GB RAM and 100 GB storage, Advanced includes 1 CPU core, 8 GB RAM and 200 GB storage, while Ultra reaches 2 CPU cores, 12 GB RAM and 400 GB storage. Unlimited monthly traffic is included, along with multiple IP addresses and the same setup and reconfiguration assistance available with Linux VPS services.
UNET also provides dedicated Business Email independently from web hosting. E5 through E20 cover five to 20 email accounts with total mailbox capacity from 50 GB to 200 GB. Individual @unet.com.mk mailboxes with 10 GB storage are also available. Domain-based email can be used through desktop and mobile clients as well as webmail.
Domain services cover Macedonian extensions such as .mk, .com.mk, .org.mk, .edu.mk, .net.mk, .inf.mk and .мкд, together with generic .com, .org and .net registrations. DNS hosting is available separately, and domains can be registered for periods of one to ten years. Domain transfers are supported as well.
Security-related services include SSL certificates, backups, malware and spam protection, security checks, monitoring and technical intervention. Standalone SSL certificates are available in addition to the free SSL included with standard hosting packages.
UNET is not limited to infrastructure services. Its Web Solutions division covers custom web applications, WordPress development and Web Express. Web Express is intended for companies that want a professionally assembled site without commissioning a completely custom project, with packages covering approximately three to 15 pages and options such as translations, forms, image galleries, Google Maps integration, performance optimization, newsletters, social-media integration and analytics.
The All-in-One service combines a domain, website creation, hosting, email, SSL functionality, technical support and optional maintenance under a 12-month subscription. Basic supports websites of up to five pages together with five email accounts, Medium increases this to 15 pages and 15 email accounts with monthly maintenance, while Advanced is individually configured for larger sites and e-commerce projects.
Another notable service is U NET E-store, a hosted SaaS e-commerce platform operating from UNET's infrastructure in North Macedonia. It supports unlimited products and categories, multilingual storefronts, payment integration, dedicated IP addresses and responsive operation on mobile devices. Starter includes 10 GB storage and one administrative account, Professional increases this to 20 GB and two administrators, while Enterprise begins with 30 GB and can be expanded further. E-store contracts run for 24 months, with bandwidth governed by a Fair Use Policy.
The website is available in Macedonian and English, making it suitable for both local and international customers. English-language pricing is primarily expressed in EUR, while the Macedonian version uses MKD, with local pricing including VAT.
