Under is a Brazilian enterprise infrastructure provider established in 2002 and operated by Under Serviços de Internet Ltda., CNPJ 05.501.732/0001-89. Founder and CEO Roberto Bertó developed the business from an early hosting operation into a company focused on dedicated servers, cloud computing, datacenter infrastructure and, more recently, high-performance AI and GPU computing. The Under name became central to the dedicated-server and cloud business in 2011, and the company was also involved in the creation of AbraHosting, which later became AbraCloud.

Under is now much closer to an enterprise compute and infrastructure provider than to a traditional shared web host. Its portfolio covers Dedicated Bare Metal, GPU Servers, Public Cloud VMs, Private Cloud, Bare Metal Clusters, Colocation, Dual-Zone deployments, Backup, Secondary Internet Links, Storage, Object Storage, Firewall and database infrastructure. Traditional low-cost shared hosting, reseller hosting and cPanel-style website hosting are no longer central products.

The current infrastructure platform is organized around several compute families. CPU-METAL provides dedicated bare-metal servers, CPU-VM covers virtual machines, CPU-CLUSTER delivers multi-node private virtualization platforms, and AI-GPU is designed for artificial intelligence, inference and other GPU-intensive workloads. This gives Under considerably more range than a typical Brazilian hosting company, particularly for organizations that want infrastructure located in Brazil and contracts billed in Brazilian reais.

CPU-METAL ranges from economical dual-socket Intel Xeon systems to newer AMD EPYC platforms with DDR5 memory, NVMe storage and very high-speed networking. Entry configurations include dual Xeon Gold 6138 processors with 40 cores and 80 threads, 128 GB DDR4 memory and 2 × 2 TB NVMe storage. At the upper end, AMD EPYC 9554P configurations can reach 64 cores and 128 threads, 1.5 TB DDR5 RAM, multiple enterprise NVMe drives and dual 100 Gbps interfaces.

The bare-metal environment includes ECC memory, redundant power supplies, RAID options, IPMI access through VPN, multi-carrier BGP connectivity, paired switching with MC-LAG and paired server interfaces using LACP. Linux installations include Ubuntu and Debian, while Windows Server and Proxmox are also available. Root-level administration is available, making these servers suitable for virtualization, databases, large application stacks and customized infrastructure.

AI-GPU has become one of Under's most distinctive product groups. Current GPU platforms include NVIDIA H200 SXM systems with eight GPUs and NVSwitch, H200 NVL configurations with one or several GPUs, RTX PRO 6000 servers and NVIDIA L4 systems. H200 provides 141 GB HBM3e memory per GPU, RTX PRO 6000 provides 96 GB, and L4 provides 24 GB. These are dedicated GPU environments rather than transient shared GPU instances, making them suitable for sustained AI inference, machine learning and other compute-heavy applications where predictable resource availability matters.

GPU systems can require advance ordering because higher-end accelerators are not always available for immediate deployment. This is primarily enterprise infrastructure and the cost profile reflects the class of hardware involved.

CPU-VM provides virtual machines from smaller 2-vCPU instances through configurations with 32 vCPU. The entry configuration includes 2 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 160 GB SSD storage and 10 Gbps connectivity. The environment supports block storage, snapshots, encrypted volumes, firewalling, load balancing, VPC networking, NAT, cloud-init and autoscaling. Ubuntu, Debian and Windows Server are available, although Windows licensing is charged separately.

For organizations that need isolated virtualization rather than individual public-cloud VMs, CPU-CLUSTER combines dedicated physical servers with Proxmox VE. Deployments begin with three nodes and can reach very substantial capacities. A three-node AMD EPYC 9554P configuration combines 192 physical processor cores, approximately 4.5 TB of RAM and more than 92 TB of raw NVMe storage. With three-way DRBD replication, usable replicated capacity is approximately 30.7 TB.

These private-cloud environments use Proxmox VE, LINSTOR, DRBD and Corosync for virtualization, storage replication and cluster operation. High availability and Dual Zone can be added to more demanding installations. Under handles deployment and infrastructure support, while customers remain responsible for operating their applications and workloads unless additional management has been contracted.

The wider compute platform also includes network and security components. Firewall services cover L3, L4 and L7 filtering, NAT and NAT Gateway functions, with FortiGate available for environments that need more advanced security controls. Secondary Internet links can use a different carrier and operate alongside the primary connection, reducing dependence on a single telecommunications route.

Dual Zone allows workloads to be distributed between the SP1 and SP2 infrastructure locations. Applications can use DNS failover or load balancing between both facilities, creating a useful architecture for disaster recovery and applications where a complete site failure must not take the service offline.

Database workloads are also supported. Microsoft SQL Server can operate on Under CPU infrastructure and can be integrated with Microsoft Azure Arc, including immutable Azure Blob backup options. This combination is particularly relevant for companies that want database workloads physically hosted in Brazil while retaining selected Microsoft cloud-management capabilities.

Storage is another important part of the portfolio. Object Storage by Capacity is S3-compatible and suited to backup repositories, archives and colder datasets. It supports Object Lock/WORM, including Governance and Compliance modes, versioning and common S3-compatible tools such as AWS CLI, Restic and S3cmd. Standard buckets can hold up to 100 TB and larger deployments can reach several petabytes.

Capacity-based object storage uses shared infrastructure and does not include guaranteed dedicated IOPS. Workloads requiring consistently high disk performance are better matched to Dedicated Object Storage, where the underlying HDD, SSD or NVMe drives are allocated specifically to the customer. Dedicated configurations begin with at least five disks, with HDD capacity reaching 20 TB per drive and SSD/NVMe configurations reaching approximately 7.6 TB per drive.

Backup infrastructure is built around Veeam (veeam.com) and includes immutable backup options, configurable RPO and RTO targets, cloud recovery and continuous infrastructure monitoring. Customers should still maintain a clear backup policy and verify application-level recoverability, particularly when server or operating-system administration remains under their own control.

Colocation complements Under's dedicated and cloud infrastructure. Customers can install their own equipment and combine it with redundant connectivity, remote hands, NOC monitoring, cabling, DDoS protection, storage and Under's compute environment. This makes hybrid installations practical when existing physical systems cannot immediately be migrated into virtual infrastructure.

The service is oriented toward businesses rather than individual consumers. Personal customer accounts are not part of its normal commercial model. Online-game applications are also outside the accepted service profile, while spam, pirated material and other abusive workloads are prohibited. Commercial VPN resale to third parties is restricted, although private corporate IPsec and SSL VPN connections can be used. Legitimate streaming, media delivery, file distribution and CDN-related workloads are supported.

The website and customer environment are primarily in Portuguese, and no complete multi-language/localized version exists. Pricing is in Brazilian reais, which can be especially useful for Brazilian organizations wanting to avoid exchange-rate exposure when purchasing infrastructure that would otherwise often be billed in USD.
